Here, you'll feel like you've stepped back in time, but with all the modern amenities you could ever need. This peaceful retreat is situated on nearly five acres of private land and is just six minutes away from groceries, shops, and restaurants. Upon entering the property, you'll be greeted by a long private drive, surrounded by crop fields and well-maintained grounds. Inside the home, you'll find floor-to-ceiling windows, a modern wood-burning stove, luxurious furniture, and a fully stocked Bosch 8 Series chef's kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a family meal, and there are indoor and outdoor dining areas that can accommodate up to ten guests. Additionally, you can enjoy the spacious bedrooms and newly renovated bathrooms. And that's just the beginning! This spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is packed with amenities to make your stay unforgettable. ♦ Off-the-hook coffee station: Featuring a French press, Breville espresso maker, pod, drip, teas, cream, w/ all the sweetener varieties under the sun, and high-quality ground and whole bean coffee. ♦ Outdoor spaces: gas grill, fire pit w/marshmallow sticks, dining area for 8, a screened-in porch, and hidden hammock and swing spots scattered around the property. ♦ Bosch 8 Series chef's kitchen. ♦ A beautifully designed woodburning fireplace (Duraflame style logs only please). ♦ A brand new Samsung's The Frame tv with subwoofer theater speakers! ♦ Nohaus massage chair with a heating feature for ultimate relaxation. ♦ Level 2 EV Charger (small daily fee) ♦ Family: pack and play, high chair, inflatable baby bath, and a kids-only nook filled with games, a TV, bean bag chair, and books. Board games and outdoor activities such as a fire pit, bocce ball, and fishing poles are also available (on request), along with multiple outdoor swings and hammocks. Hair dryer & straightener, iron, laundry, and dishwasher pods provided. ♦ Local Area & Accessibility: Take a stroll along the property (there's even a little hidden trail in the way back) or private drive, or walk to Gardener’s Produce to buy fresh eggs and produce from farmer Josh and his family (open Wed and Sat). Explore nearby downtown Mebane with its lively farmer's markets, antique shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Other attractions include Saxapahaw’s artist community, Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area, Swepsonville River Park, Tanger Outlets Mebane, Graham-Mebane Lake, Iron Gate Vineyards & Winery, and Lake Michael Park. Bedroom Setup: The main floor (no stairs) includes a king bedroom and a full bathroom with features for mobility-impaired guests in the shower (refer to the photos). Upstairs, there's a spacious queen bedroom with large windows offering great views of the pond and crop fields. This room also includes a 13" inflatable mattress with bedding. Additionally, there's a shared full bathroom with a tub and another sunlit bedroom with both a queen and twin bed, as well as a kids' play nook. Accessibility: The home has two entrances, each equipped with railings and only two steps. * A Note About Our Special Beaver Friend! Miss Dixie is the matriarch of Parker Farm. If you are lucky, you will see her walking from the pond across the front yard and into the wooded area along the driveway circle. If you are really lucky, she will bring her babies! She is why Parker Farm is in a wildlife-protected area.
Other Details to Note
This home is owner-managed and cleaned with love. I respond fast, live locally, and make deep and meaningful connections with my guests while giving you all the privacy you desire. No smoking in the home. As per Mebane's short-term rental statutes, no parties are permitted. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 8:30 am. Trash during your stay- if you have a full bin in the kitchen, all trash and recycling must be taken to the end of Parker Farm Rd near the mailboxes on Jones St. Critters & Hazards: This is a farm in rural NC. Please note that you may encounter some critters and hazards. Ticks- wear long pants and/or use the spray provided under the sink. Snakes- I have only seen rat snakes (the black ones). Note: these snakes are harmless and eat copperheads and rodents. Poison Ivy: I treat the property for it a few times a year, but you may still encounter it. Neighbor's Dogs: If the two Corgi/Pitbull mix pups come around, please do not feed or interact with them. While they are harmless little love bugs, I do not want them on the property. A past guest has fed them and now they come to the property frequently. Thank you for understanding. ALL are welcome here!
