Acorn Properties

We (family of two adults and two teenagers with a dog) spent a week in Barbara's cozy acorn cottage, which was comfortable, well-appointed, and especially cute. We loved the retro vibe and decor. We appreciated the coffee station and made use of the loft and the screened porch. Barbara was very hospitable, and the house had specific amenities to make the house accessible and welcome to all types of families (to include those of us with dogs as well as other types of families who may have small children). Barbara's communication was clear, kind, proactive and responsive.

We had a great stay at this property. It was clean, well stocked and very cozy. The host communicated very well and was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in town for any future projects.

This has got to one of my favorite places I have ever stayed. The place is beautifully decorated. You can tell she has gone above and beyond with her attention to detail. We were truly astonished. The pictures just don’t do it justice. Everything was exactly as pictured and described. Plenty of space and felt just like home. The beds themselves would have me coming back every time. The beds are super comfy and the linens and comforters are heaven. The kitchen is large and had everything we needed. Amazing coffee bar which we enjoyed. The location was excellent so much is within minutes of walking. The host was very friendly helpful and responded quickly. They do have noise machines because u are next to a busy highway but the noise was not bad at all we didn’t need them. Amazing property.

Barbara is an awesome host, top notch. Quick to respond and on top of everything. The place is a gem, tastefully designed and decorated. There is a lot of additional space in the bedrooms, bathrooms and the large loft. Not feeling crammed in the space with two dogs and two kids was nice, as we were there for two weeks. Lots of thoughtful supplies and toys for both the dogs and kids already there. Zero sign or smell of it being a pet friendly house. Highly recommend staying here especially if you’re local and need a place to stay medium term while works being done on your place. Great location. Trader Joe’s and restaurants all nearby.

We had a great time at Cardinal Nest. We were in town for a lacrosse tournament and the fields were right across the street from the neighborhood. This was so much better than miles away at a hotel. And, after games we got back quickly to rest and recover. Barbara was extremely quick in responding to my questions before and during the stay. Everything was wonderful. Would book again!

This place amazing. Place was exactly as posted. Very clean, amazing back deck and Barbara was very responsive to any questions. If I have to go back to Raleigh I will definitely stay here again if available

I had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless and located in a clean, safe neighborhood. The accommodations were excellent, the house was absolutely immaculate, and the rural ambiance was incredibly peaceful. Barbara was an outstanding host—she communicated clearly and consistently from the time of booking all the way through checkout. This house had all the “things” that you forgot and needed! Lots of special touches. We loved the swing in the living room right by the window! Very private and quiet but also very easy to find. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Beautifully designed place with super comfy beds. Well-stocked, large kitchen and lots of room to spread out. Great having Publix so close by. There is traffic noise from the road which was more intense over the weekend late at night but the noise machines helped a bit. Everything was very clean. We had nice stay, enjoyed the Steampunk theme details and artful touches.

Clockwork Loft is my favorite Air BnB ever. So many luxe touches make it feel like an elegant hotel, but with so much more space. Delicious beds and linens. Buttery soft sofa. Amazing kitchen, stocked with everything. Great location for all things Raleigh. It’s a thoughtfully designed space, and Barbara is an amazingly responsive and helpful host. Book it now.
